System Error E80
Solution to No R6T3 & System Error E80 & NO Infectus & NO BIN file of EEPROM
For those of you who have updated to NXE and gotten System Error E80 without R6T3 resistor in place,
AND might not have an Infectus (1 or 2) installed therefore do not have a BIN file of your XB360 motherboard's EEPROM,
re-place/re-solder R6T3 and try booting your console.
This solution might or might not work for you.
I have had the same issue with my XBOX 360 from MFD 2006-03-01,
which is the manufature date, if you don not know what it is,
it is located on the back of your console above the A/V connector on the sticker.
What I did:
After putting 10 of 0.5K Ohm resistors and a Potmeter of 5K Ohm in series (to get 10K Ohm resistance),
I soldered the two ends of it to the R6T3 pins with some wire.
(I know, it is very ghetto, lost my original R6T3 resistor).
(This requires you to open up your XB360 and expose the bottom side of the motherboard).
Then I turned on the console and hoped for the best.
The console just booted and asked for the USB dongle (or from a disc if that is what you have done) with the update.
It finished the update and I got to the New Xbox Experience Dashboard (NXE).
And just played Burnout Paradise from the harddrive on NXE update.
System Error E80 is no more, up yours MS!
